What is Bible Quest?
Bible Quest is a fun and exciting way to motivate our young people to study and learn God’s precious Word. It is vital that our young people really know the Truth, especially in today’s world of deception.
They learn the importance of giving God their time; learning to establish priorities at an early age. Quizzing requires the young person to learn and retain God’s Word. Quizzing provides a structure to assist the young person to measure their knowledge of God and His Word. As they grow and mature they will develop the discipline and foundation necessary to be a strong soldier in our Lord’s kingdom.
Three Divisions of Quizzing:
Primaries – ages 5- 8 years old and Juniors – ages 9 to 12 years old
The Primaries and Juniors study 576 facts in question and answer format. We use the Bible Fact-Pak questions that cover the entire Bible. All questions are bible based and designed to not only give knowledge of God’s Word but develop and deepen their personal relationship with the Lord.
Questions are graded in 10, 20 and 30 point values. The young people have a schedule for their weekly study and review of God’s Word. They generally meet once a week during church time to learn and review their assignments.
Quizzing is fun for the children but it is also a means to see what they have learned and hid in their hearts. Games, rewards, and various contests are used to motivate and encourage the young people.
Teens – ages 13 to 19
The teens are studying the book of Mark this year. Questions and answers are purchased from Life Springs. See our link section on the Home Page for more information on this. They will study different books in the Bible as they go into a new quiz year. The Teens are encouraged to go to the Fine Arts Festival at Youth Quest every year in July and quiz on a National Level of competition. This is an exciting and rewarding event that really strengthens the quizzer’s walk with the Lord.
January 15th is the date used to determine which age group the kids will quiz in. Any exceptions made on age are done to encourage the child to participate in quizzing. There are no exceptions on the teen level.
